2011 Jubilus Fall Gala

Join us for an evening of fine music by Jubilus Artistic Directors Nansi Carroll & Stephen Coxe, guest artist Javier Rodriguez of the Post-Haste Reed Duo, UF’s Ronald Burrichter & Brenda Smith, UF organist Laura Ellis, oboist John Netardus of the Alachua Consort, flutist Christine Alicot of the Gainesville Chamber Orchestra, and other prominent local musicians.

This diverse program of vocal and instrumental chamber music will feature selections from Copland’s Twelve Poems of Emily Dickinson and Camille Saint-Saëns’ Sonata for Bassoon and Piano. Other featured composers will include Hildegard of Bingen, Johannes Brahms, Felix Mendelssohn, Francis Poulenc, Georg Telemann, William Byrd, Maurice Duruflé, and Jubilus Artistic Directors Nansi Carroll & Stephen Coxe.

The Jubilus Fall Gala is a preview event for the 2012 Jubilus Festival. All are welcomed, and admission is free. However, to help support the Jubilus Festival, a donation of $15 at the door ($5 for students) is suggested.
