Sarah Bushey is a doctoral candidate in Historical Musicology at the University of Florida.
Interested in questions of style and genre in 18th-century opera, she is currently preparing for dissertation research on Visual and Aural Images of Horror on the Stage in Opera Seria and the Tragedié-lyrique.
Ms. Bushey has presented her work at the American Musicological Society’s Southern Chapter meeting in February of 2012 and also at the Midwest Graduate Music Consortium at Northwestern University in March 2012.
She earned her Master’s Degree in Clarinet Performance at UF and is Principal Clarinetist with the Ocala Symphony Orchestra. She currently serves as treasurer of UF’s Student Society for Musicology.
